Thousands of plants are used daily in alternative medicine for treating various diseases, but not all of them have the same power of curing.Anyway, there is a TOP list of flowers and herbs that are used for thousands of years and are known for their magic curing effect.
Coca (Erythroxylon coca)
In the 19th century , Cocaine was very popular in using it as a local anaesthetic.Coca leaf tea is often used for severe sickness in South America.

Daffodil (Narcissus spp.)
There is a disease that is known to be treated by Galantamine hydrobromide and it is Alzheimer’s disease. It has a compound derived from daffodil bulbs.

Deadly nightshade (Atropa belladonna)
This is considered a very "poisoned" plant , being very dangerous if not taking as prescribed. All parts of this plant, especially the berries, contain the extremely toxic chemical atropin that is wildely used to relax the muscles of the eye and to stop muscular spasms.

Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea)

Known as powerful narcotics, Opium and it's derivatives such as morphine are still used in medicine as a painkillers.

We know about rubber gloves and waterproof sheeting and prophylactics that are very popular in medicine and health care industry. This plant plays an important role in producing them.

Willow (Salix spp.)
Everybody knows what aspiring is prescribed for. Here is the bark of the white willow that contains acetyl salicylic acid which is the same aspirin.It is widely used in stopping fever and for pain relief for over than 2,000 years.
