This way of treatment is based on a fact, that color is the biggest resource of influence on the human psychology. The effect of color was used at all times, it had nothing to do with treatment. So, special colour that was going on the body of the warrior and warrior's armors was designed to impress the fear to the enemy; colorful clothes of warrior's cult were designed to stimulate worship or awe.
Color as a remedy began to be used in the Ancient Egypt, but in reality color theraphy was accepted for doctor's equipment only in 1877. English scientists Down and Blunt tried to use the remedies in their pratice of ultraviolet rays for treating skin diseases and rachitis. After a decade, american scientists Babbit and Plizanton recommended to treat infertility with red color, and neurological disorders with blue color.

Color therapy will be most successful if before treatment you develop your own color sensitivity.

First of all make colored cards, small size (about 8h12 cm) and on the reverse side of them write performance of a given color. Calm down, relax, take a card and attentively read all that is written on the back. Close your eyes, mix cards well, put them painted side up. Take one of the cards, hold your hand over it and try to determine your sense - it is warm or cold? Try to remember all of your impressions and feelings from this color card, and pay attention to everything, even a casual feeling. Gradually, you will have the ability to identify the color sensation.

That's a great topic, I think.
When I was studying at my college, my psychology teacher was always wearing someting blue, because,as she was telling us - it calms down and a teacher needs it a lot :)

Hello! Color therapy is a kind of treatment that occurs influencing our eyes sensors. It can bring big effect if it is used correctly. In our time this therapy becomes more developed interacting with electronic devices. There are audio video glasses (avs) which are used to do such kind of therapy. At the same time there are some computer programs which also allow us to gain good results in it.
So how does it works? Our brain is a complex mechanism which produces different kinds of electric waves. There are four kinds of such waves and the most important are alpha and beta ones. They shows our level of stress and activity. As any kind of wave, these ones also have a frequency and this frequency can be higher or lower depending on (how I have already said) our level of stress and brain activity.
Color therapy helps us to settle the correct and appropriate frequency for a healthy mental work. For example if you are stressed, you put a low frequency led at your avs or other video program made for same goals, close your eyes and enjoy the treatment as long as you need it (not more than 20 minutes).
