A close friend is in Kerala right now, enjoying his last days before the real heat starts and he starts heading back home, I'm so jealous! Did not make it this year to go India, what a pity.
This guy, Bob, is crazy about Ayurveda medicine and he's gonna bring bags of those smelly bottles, jars, tubes and whatnot.
Everybody around Bob can feel safe - if you have headache, Bob rubs your temples with some oily magic and your headache is suddenly gone and you even feel some pleasant buzz on top of it!
Seriously, those Ayurvedic creams and oils and tinctures really do magic even in layman's hands.
“Maybe it meant something. Maybe not, in the long run, but no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time and the world. Whatever it meant.”

Just be careful with such things, moderation is the key here! To my regret I can't say I am a big specialist in Ayurveda medicine, but I do believe that any substance can be a cure and a poison at the same time. Health is a complicated matter and it is better be dealt with by specialists.
Personally, I am sure that Ayurveda oils and mixtures are way more natural and organic than Western pharmaceutical drugs. Still, even common plants and herbs taken in a wrong way or in wrong quantities may lead sometimes to quite bad results.
What I mean is: embrace Ayurveda medicine responsibly :)
